1. Setting up your Hotline

Once you’ve signed up on Hotline as a creator, there are few things you can do to set up your profile and make sure you make the most of all the tools and features! We’ve put together a checklist to help you get started.

Profile: Update your profile with your bio, avatar, and banner image.

Content Library: Add content! Upload videos and photos to your library and choose whether you want it available to everyone, just followers or paid subscribers, or add it to your clip store. Be sure to add a trailer, custom thumbnail, title, description, and tags to entice users.

Clip Store: Your clip store is the best way for you to earn revenue on Hotline, as it is a hands off system that you don't have to actively update. You can select from pre-generated thumbnails, upload a custom thumbnail to stand out on search results, and upload a trailer to entice a sale. Be sure to select 10 relevant tags and enter a descriptive title and description to optimize search results.

Paid Tiers: Set up your paid subscription tiers with pricing and durations details. You can create multiple passes to offer fans discounted rates for longer-term subscriptions.

Welcome Messages: Include automated welcome messages for followers and paid subscribers. You can include a piece of content for free or locked at a specific price.

Blasts: Send messages to all of your followers or subscribers at once with blasts. This is a great tool to use when promoting a campaign like live DM sessions, subscription discounts, or even just to say good morning to your fans!

Chat: Start DMing! Encourage fans to spend by sending locked content from your library or upload custom content directly in chat. Check your DMs daily and build relationships with your most loyal fans. Invite your friends to become creators and earn commission rewards on their revenue!

Add Hotline to your linktree and promote your profile on social media. If selling content removed from other platforms, we recommend placing it above or below your most clicked link with the following text: *NEW* Hotline | Banned Content

Remember, Hotline has the least content restrictions of any platform. Use this to your advantage and sell your fans the content that got removed from everywhere else! Every other platform you have will likely have the same content as each other - make sure your fans know where to find the good stuff.
